Parent Helpers Needed:
Senior Night Dinner:
We will need several parent helpers to set-up and serve the dinner. We will begin set-up at 4pm and dinner will be served at 5pm. Please contact Nadia Ali if you are available and willing.
Prior to the game (and after the game too):
Helpers are needed to fill water jugs and cover the bleachers. Please meet in the band hallway at 5:45pm. If you are available and willing, please contact Pierre Echternach.
SENIOR PARENTS!
You will be walking with your student onto the field during pre-game for Senior Night. In years past, High School admins have asked that you purchase a ticket for the game and meet your student in the end zone on the restroom side of the field. You and your student will be announced as you walk onto the field. Please be there by 6:15pm.
We need to cover the gold chains on the shakos to match the silver that we used to cover the gold piece on the uniform. We have the fabric pieces ready to go, we just need to put them on. If you have some time to share to help us with this project, please stop by the band room Thursday evening during rehearsal, 5:30 to 8pm.
Friday, October 12th
Bus Riders
We are looking for a bus rider for the elementary tour. If you are available, please let Sandy Miller know. We have lunch at Zeke’s in Montrose!
Saturday, October 13th
Bus Riders
We will need several parents to ride the bus to and from the competition. Please be at the High School by 12:15pm to help load the water jugs, plumes, gauntlets, etc. on the bus.
Please let Deb Parker know if you are available and willing.
We will need helpers to plume, gauntlet, and push equipment at the competition. Please be at Ayala High School by 4:15pm and find the band & guard in the warm-up area.
Wristband Note
We have several free wristbands for parent helpers at each competition, but not enough for everyone. Most competitions require that you have a wristband (either the free one or purchased ticket one) to help push equipment on the field for performance. We will do our best to rotate these free wristbands throughout the parent helpers, but cannot guarantee that each parent will get one. These free wristbands will need to be returned to Mr. Stone or Sandy after each competition so that they can be used again at the next competition. Thanks for your understanding.
Crowd Cheerers
The students enjoy great crowd support – and the judges do too! Please come out and support our hard-working students. It’s a great evening of some amazing performances… and so much different than a football game half-time performance. Thanks in advance for your cheers and applause! 🙂

Helpful Notes for Parents:
Students will remain with the group from the start of rehearsal through dismissal at the end of the day. Students may have the opportunity to leave after the truck is loaded in the morning, but MUST be back at the High School no later than 12:30pm to load the bus — and ONLY with prior approval from Mr. Stone.
NO STUDENTS may leave the group and must stay on campus at each competition site! NO EXCEPTIONS!
With #1 in mind, please make sure your student has the appropriate clothing and shoes for the entire day – at rehearsal, to wear under the uniform, and to return home. Students will change into uniform on the bus (in public).
Students should bring a water jug and sunscreen to the morning rehearsal. Sometimes it’s pretty toasty out there!
Please remember that all times listed are approximate. Sometimes things need to change depending on the circumstances of the day and we do our best to keep to a schedule so everyone is on the same page. However, things always come up including, but not limited to, the traffic situation. This is especially true this week. It’s our first time at competition this year, so we ask for your cooperation and understanding.
If your student is taking the PSAT, please have them join the group whenever they are finished. Your student should also let Mr. Stone know that they are taking the PSAT.
